I have years of experience in the fields of medicine (OB/GYN and general surgery) and education (educator and school counselor). I am a graduate of Pine Forest High School, earned my BA in Sociology from Rutgers University and my Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. I have also completed the coursework towards my PhD in Psychology.
For 29 years, I have been married to my husband Charles, a 25 year Air Force retiree and we have two adult children, Kevin and Keisha. I am a member of Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville where I am active in several ministries.
The mayor of Fayetteville appointed me to the Fayetteville Cumberland County Human Relations Commission. I was elected to the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Fayetteville as well as the office of President of the Lafayette Fayetteville Rotary Club. Currently, I serve as the Past President of the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of North Carolina.
